Scotia, trotting nicely, led the field for a mile, Storm taking second position, while Lodi moved up fast from the back mark. Lodi was on terms with the leaders six furlongs from home and Red Child was also within striking distance, when he broke badly. Storm fell at the top turn, leaving Lodi and Scotia to fight out an interesting finish. Lodi won by a length, and Vitella was fifty yards away third, just beating Red Child on the post. Time 4min 47 2/5sec.

The Middie was in front at the end of a furlong, with Lady Linton running into second place. The field closed up in the second round, Wildwood Jun. coming fast from the back. With half a mile to go Wildwood Jun. was within striking distance, and cutting down the leaders along the back he took command and trotting seriously won comfortably by two lengths from Imperial Girl. Lady Clare was third, two lengths away, and Prince Warbeck, finishing fast, was close up fourth. Time 4min 50 4/5sec.

Romany Lad and Prince Albert made the early running, but Too Soon took the lead six furlongs from home and won by three lengths from Prince Albert. King Cole, who started badly, was fifty yards away, followed by Mavourneen and Jay Beldon. Time - 3 min 37 3-5sec.

Passing the stand Cocoanut was showing the way to Florin and Verax. At the end of the next lap Florin was a length in front of Verax and Cocoanut, with Elector, Lord Elmo, Master Poole and Advance a dozen lengths away. Verax joined Florin at the mile post, and drawing away a little further on he won by three lengths from Lord Elmo, who was a similar distance in front of Master Poole, with Florin close up. Time - 4min 46sec.

Robert Emmet drew out at the start, followed by Dick Fly and Elector. This trio held charge for a mile, at which stage Robert Emmet and Dick Fly were just clear of Elector, who was closely followed by Cocoanut, Miss Florrie C and Withington. Entering the last lap there was no change, but a little further on Dick Fly and Elector drew away, and a fine finish ended in Elector winning by half a length. Cocoanut was four lengths away, followed by Master Poole and Verax. Time - 5min 4 4/5sec.

King Cole played up at the start and took no part in the race. Ratawood made the running for a mile, followed by Master Poole and Lady Lylian. Turning for home there was not much too choose between the trio, and a good finish ended with Mister Poole beating Lady Lylian, winning by half a length, with Ratawood six lengths away, followed by Miss Florrie C and OYM. Time - 3min 34 1/5sec.

Prince Alert drew out at the start, followed by Wild Arab and Wildwood Jun. There was no change half a lap from home, when Wildwood Jun ran up to Prince Alert, but the latter came away again entering the back stretch, and won by four lengths. Miss Burlington was fifty yards away, with Factory Boy and Lord Elmo next. Time - 3min 38 3/5sec.

Welfare led for a mile, when Bay King went to the front. Entering the last lap, Bay King, The Mooress, Imperial Girl, Dr Chutney and The Pigeon were in a bunch, with Lodi showing prominently among the others. Turning for home the leaders were still in close order, and after a great finish Lodi beat Scotia by a lemgth, with Bay King four lengths away, just in front of The Pigeon. Time - 4min 55 2/5sec

Te Porangi showed the way in the early stages, but entering the last lap there was nothing to choose between Te Porangi, Lady Linton, Al Franz and Lord Althorp. A little further on Lord Althorp drew out and won by ten lengths, Te Porangi being a similar distance off Exchequer, who beat Al Franz by a head. Time - 4min 56 1/5sec.
